Northeast Landcare is looking for a skilled Plant Install Laborer for the upcoming season servicing Rochester, Somersworth, Dover and the greater Seacoast Area

DUTIES:
Work outside and keep in great physical condition while installing professional landscapes at residential and commercial properties along the coast. Interact with the crew foreman and follow project instructions to provide optimum services. Assist with landscape maintenance, restoration, and design. Install and cultivate functional and ornamental plants. Transplant and prune shrubs and small trees. Weed landscape beds and assist with mulching. Advise plant care advice to other team members and clients. Each Northeast Landcare team member must have great attendance and strong work ethic attitudes. Will safely transport plants and landscape materials to the job site. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

– Follow project instructions from the Crew Foreman and execute tasks efficiently
– Offer assistance and effective time in other areas of the company
– Become a reliable resource for Plant Installations
– Keep vehicles, machinery, and tools in good repair and working order
– Meet department tasks expectations
– Continuously improve knowledge, education, & industry awareness

REQUIREMENTS:
Northeast Landcare requires for this position a motivated individual with at least, but not required, 2 years landscape /plant installation experience. Must be willing to learn. Strong candidates will be able to work well following instructions from the crew foreman, handling appointed responsibilities and helping others to achieve their goals. Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record to operate company vehicles. Must be able to complete tasks expressed in the job description and be willing to participate in other activities as deemed necessary by NELC.

Average 40+ hours/week. Typically from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Some Saturdays may be required to accommodate clients’ needs and work around weather conditions.

REQUIREMENTS FOR HIRE:
– 2 years Landscape / Plant Installation experience, limited but not required

DRIVERS LICENSE:
– Valid, clean drivers license

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
– Have at least 2-3 references
– Must be organized, capable of multi-tasking & working with others
– Must proficiently communicate with clients and colleagues
– Logical and technical reasoning skills

Job Summary: Northeast Landcare is looking for a skilled Mow Crew Foreman for the upcoming season servicing Rochester, Somersworth, Dover and the greater seacoast area.  Work outside and keep in great physical condition while maintaining professional landscapes at residential and commercial properties.  

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: 

• Efficiently provide outstanding lawncare service to NELC customers.
• Safely operate company trucks with full-sized covered landscape trailers in tow.
• Safely and skillfully operate a variety of commercial lawncare and landscape equipment including but not limited to mowers, trimmers, and leaf blowers.  
• Perform routine machine maintenance when required.
• Assist with landscape bed maintenance by weeding and mulching.
• Work as part of a larger crew to provide spring and fall cleanups to customers.
• Keep vehicles, machinery and tools in good repair and working order.
• Continuously improve knowledge, education and industry awareness.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5 years of experience in landscaping/lawn maintenance is required.
• Applicants must have a valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Must have or be able to obtain DOT Medical Card.
• Self-motivation and strong work ethic are required.
• Must have excellent time management skills.
• Successful candidates will have at least 2-3 professional references.

Work Environment & Logistics: 

• Employees report each workday to our location in Somersworth, NH.
• Typical workdays are from 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, these hours may vary throughout the year.  
• The typical work week is Monday – Friday, Saturdays are occasionally required. 
• Employees must be punctual and have excellent attendance.
• Employees must be capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.  
• Employees must have the ability to clearly communicate with customers and colleagues.
